STATEMENT OF FAITH

 

ABOUT SCRIPTURE

We believe and affirm the Bible as the inspired, truthful and authoritative Word of God. We believe that God inspired the writing and protected the trans-missional process of the Scriptures, both the Old and New Testaments, to equip humankind to honor and obey God in every area of life.  As such, Scripture, interpreted in context, will be our only source for what we believe, what we do, and how we act towards others.

 

ABOUT GOD

We believe there is one true God who is eternally self-existent and the creator of all things. God the Father is perfect in holiness, infinite in wisdom,  measureless in power, unconditionally loving, relentlessly merciful, and absolutely just. God showed His love for all people by sending His Son to die for our sins so that we might have eternal life with God.  He has revealed himself as Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit.

 

ABOUT JESUS CHRIST

We believe that Jesus Christ is the only begotten son of God the Father.  We believe that Jesus Christ was fully human and fully God.  Jesus was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, performed miracles, died a substitutionary death on the cross, rose from the dead on the third day, and is at the right hand of God interceding for his people.  Jesus is the only way to bridge the gap of sin between God and people, thus He is the only way to have a relationship with God now, and eternal life with God in heaven.

ABOUT THE HOLY SPIRIT

We believe the Holy Spirit is the third person of the God-head who glorifies our Lord Jesus Christ and convicts the world of sin. The Holy Spirit enables the sinner to repent and believe in Jesus Christ as Lord.  We believe every Christian, empowered by the Holy Spirit, will be an effective witness for God.

 

ABOUT HUMANITY

We believe that humankind is created in the image of God.  As such, we were designed to be in relationship with God on the earth.  However, we believe that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.  We believe that unconditional love, unlimited forgiveness, and undying hope are found in Jesus Christ - the one and only mediator between God and man.

ABOUT SPIRITUAL GIFTS

We believe that the gifts of the Spirit: wisdom, knowledge, faith, healing, miracles, prophecy, discerning of spirits, speaking in tongues, and interpretation of tongues are special abilities provided by the Holy Spirit to Christians for the purpose of building up the body of Christ.

ABOUT FIVE-FOLD MINISTRY

We believe in the five-fold ministry of the Apostles, Prophets, Pastors, Teachers and Evangelists as a biblical blue-print for edifying and equipping the believers to do every good work and to advance the Kingdom of God.
